Health, Safety and Hygiene We set high standards in the measures we adopt to protect the health and safety of everyone in the company. Joint Health and Safety Committees meet regularly to monitor performance and seek improvements. As with our Quality System, every employee has a responsibility to ensure the Health and Safety of themselves and their colleagues. Employment Conditions and Benefits We already have some of the best people in our sector of the food industry. To retain them and to attract others, our pay levels and other basic conditions such as holiday entitlement and sickness schemes are maintained at competitive levels within our industry. All employees are encouraged to learn new skills to improve their performance so that Newly Weds Foods Limited can actively pursue its policy of promoting from within. Long Service Awards At Newly Weds Foods Limited we take pride in developing our employees. One measure of this success is the growing number of employees who have worked for ten years or more at the company. To mark this achievement each year we present a certificate to those who reach 10, 20 or even more year’s service with the company. Employee Of The Year Awards At Newly Weds Foods Limited we reward our employees for their outstanding effort and contribution to the business. This year four employees each received a cheque in recognition of this and a certificate to commemorate the event.
